Mid-Week Music #129 - Holiday Jazz
Christmas, oh boy, what a holiday. Whether you celebrate it or not, speaketh merry Christmas or happy holidays, the time in between November and December has been stereotyped as the time of self-reflection and family values. Really, these mentalities should not be exclusive to this time of year, duh. However, if you are trapped within the torturous spell of Mariah Carey songs, then good luck, but to be serious, to me Christmas accentuates the time in which we celebrate self-healing/self-betterment. Love and forgiveness are two of the most powerful tools to help reshape our negative thoughts, and redirect that negative energy away from our life. The holidays should be a time where we as a planet accentuate those values and implore that more human beings begin practicing them. Even if you don’t feel like it, you, yes you, can spread that love and support through kindness and joy to whomever you meet. Every little helps. Now please, enjoy some holiday jazz and the Michigan snow falls. Merry Christmas!
