As we experience our first snow of the semester, I've been reminiscing about this photo I took several years ago on the side of the road. I had gone to the store to pick up something my family needed for dinner and forgot my gloves. Despite being on the brink of frostbite carrying the grocery bags home, I stopped to take this photo for no reason other than that it caught my attention. I hope this photo serves as a reminder that even in the cold winter months that approach, it is still possible to find beauty outdoors. You just might have to look a little harder.
