Photo Friday #100

My friend sent me this picture of bacteria she cultured earlier this week. I’m sharing it for this week’s photo Friday because it reminds me of our recent discussion about meritocracy. I feel a lot like the bacteria in this picture-exposed. But I find it beautiful by how it’s surrounded with that yellow fuzzy glow as if it’s creating a bubble for itself despite having everyone’s eyes on it. For me, that bubble would be my family and friends or essentially any place where what I’m doing isn’t tiring me out. This could very much just be my post physics exam brain talking, but if it feels philosophical then I’ve done my part.
