Photo Friday #39

When I was flying back home for fall break, my plane was delayed so much that by the time I was in the air, the beautiful sunset that I had been hoping to capture from above had already darkened into night. Of course, this didn't mean the city lights were any less beautiful than the colors of the sunset had been, but when I readied my camera to snap a picture, I realized the aperture just wasn't enough to adequately capture what my eyes could see. Of course, I ended up spending as much time as I could staring out and drinking it all in, but once I got over my dismay, I realized that even if I never managed to get the perfect photo, that night was all the more beautiful because of it.
